Lawmaker for Odododiodio, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has insisted that it was no coincidence that President Akufo-Addo mentioned his name during a rally ahead of the 2020 polls instead of the NPP candidate’s name.
The President while introducing the NPP Parliamentary candidate and calling on electorates to vote for him, mentioned Nii Lante Vanderpuye instead of Nii Lante Bannerman; although he quickly took back his words.
Speaking on Onua FM, the Odododiodio MP said it was no coincidence that his name was mentioned rather God’s doing.
“It wasn’t Nana Addo Dankwa’s decision or idea to mention my name. It was God. God used him to endorse me in the elections. Nobody can tell me that Nana Addo did not know the name of his candidate because he had work with him for years,” he was quoted by 3news.
He continued: “It was because of the prayers and fasting on my part that resulted in Nana addo mentioning my name.”
