God Should Kill Me If NDC Returns To Power – Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has been under fire following his statement that God should kill him if NDC comes to power in 2024.

The Private legal practitioner has explained the rationale behind the statement on the “State Of Ghana”, a flagship program on Wontumi TV.

He said, ” I’m 60 years old and in 2024 I might be 62 and if NDC comes to power and rule for eight years I can’t bear the hardship they will impose so in order not to experience the hardship, God should take my life.”

Nana Obiri Boahen insisted that in 1990 he experienced the governance of Jerry John Rawlings and that of John Agyekum Kuffour in 2000-2008.

He added that in 2008-2016 he witnessed the administration of Prof. Atta Mills and John Mahama.

“There is evidence that NDC doesn’t continue projects of the past government and there is also evidence that most of the social interventions are being implemented by NPP,” he compared.

He stressed that, if NDC comes to power, is either Ghana retrogresses or remains sluggish.

“History has made it clear that anytime the UP party comes to power Ghana progresses enormously,” Obiri Boahen said.
