Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has refuted claims that he owned hotels and other properties in Dubai when he was President of Ghana.
According to him, these were propaganda and lies championed by the NPP which won them the 2016 elections.
He cited instances where the NPP claimed he had given contracts to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama; insisting that Ibrahim never took any money from the state for whatever project he did.
They said I built hotels in Dubai, I have ships in Tokyo, they said DKM was mine, If I have hotels in Dubai, I dare them to go and look for it, sell it and come and invest the money in Ghana’s economy,” Mahama said during his campaign tour of the Greater Accra region.
