Ghana’s Covid-19 Active Cases Fall, Death Rate Increases

President Nana Akuffo-Addo has revealed that the total number of persons who have died from the novel coronavirus currently stands at 310 out of a total number of five hundred and ten thousand, and seventy-four (510,074) persons tested.

During his last update, he revealed that, two hundred and ninety-seven (297) persons had died from the virus. His latest update has revealed that 13 more persons had passed on shooting the total number of date rate to 310.

According to him, Ghana’s death rate stands at “0.5%, and continues to remain very low”.

The president made this revelation when addressing the nation on measures put in place to fight against the novel coronavirus. This was his 18th time addressing the nation.

He also revealed that, Ghana’s recovery rate stands at 98.5% and Ghana’s active cases now stands at 398.

“As at Friday, 16th October, the number of active cases has declined further to three hundred and ninety-eight (398), with forty-six thousand, six hundred and sixty-four (46,664) persons fully recovered from the virus, putting our recovery rate at 98.5%”.
