Ghanaians Won’t Forgive Akufo-Addo If Ghana Fail To Qualify For World Cup – Sammy Gyamfi

The NDC’s Sammy Gyamfi has contributed his voice to the poor performance of Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, in their match against Ethiopia.

On Thursday, the team was expecting to build on their strong start under Milovan Rajevac in the fifth matchday of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

The four-time African champions, on the other hand, were beaten to a 1-1 tie by the Walias at Orlando Stadium.

As things stand, the draw against Ethiopia means Ghana will need to beat South Africa in the last Group G match on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium to qualify for the playoffs.

In response to the Black Stars’ troubles, Sammy Gyamfi has predicted that Ghanaians will not forgive President Akufo-Addo if the Black Stars fail to qualify for the World Cup next year.

“If the Black Stars fail to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Ghanaians would not forgive Akufo-Addo,” he told Ekosii Sen on Asempa FM.

“The players have given it their all thus far, but I believe we cannot afford to miss the World Cup.”

“Under Akufo-Addo, we failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, and I doubt Ghanaians will forgive him if we fail to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.”

“This is a rematch for Akufo-Addo and his government, but we will not forgive him if he fails this time,” he continued.
