Minister of Communications and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West Constituency Ursula Owusu Ekuful has stated that fellow MP Carlos Ahenkorah flouted no rules that deserves prosecution.
According to her Mr Ahenkorah should be respected and applauded for rather resigning.
The immediate former Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry visited some registration centres in his constituency whilst positive for the Coronavirus.
This action by Carlos Ahenkorah sparked a nationwide outrage and condemnation from colleagues and opposition alike.
However, Mrs Ekuful is of the view that Carlos had done an honourable thing by resigning and therefore deserves to be applauded.
“We must respect and applaud him, she said. Noting that it is very rare for people to acknowledge their mistakes and resign.
Speaking on his prosecution, Mrs Ekuful said the Tema West MP had flouted no rules.
