Dr. Stephen Amoah, the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, has asked Ghanaians to be patient during the current economic difficulties.
According to him, the COVID-19 outbreak is producing economic concerns in the majority of countries.
The current economic condition, according to Dr. Amoah, is far better than what the NPP administration inherited from their predecessors.
“Both God and facts exist. There is a problem, but it is a global problem. “What drives coups d’états, and have they actually considered what they are doing?” he wondered.
“Despite the difficulties brought on by the COVID and other concerns, everything is better now than when we took over,” he told Metro TV in Accra.
He used the example of university instructors on strike since early this year, demanding better working conditions, but the administration was concerned about their timing.
“Is it AkufoAddo’s fault?” he said, referring to the recent rise in crude oil prices to more than $100 per barrel, the most in seven years.
Prof. Raymond Atuguba gave a public statement on the deteriorating economic condition and its connection to a coup, according to the Nhyiaeso MP.
