Ghana On Medical Alert As Ebola Hits Abidjan In The Midst Of COVID-19

Ghana has been put on medical alert after close neighbor, Ivory Coast recorded it’s first case of the deadly Ebola virus in 25 years.

Briefing the public, Ivorian Minister of Health, Pierre Dimba, disclosed that this was an isolated case of an 18-year-old girl who travelled from neighboring Guinea.

According to the World Health Organization, this is Ivory Coast’s first case of Ebola since 1994.

This puts Ghana on red medical alert considering the closeness of the two countries.
