Ghana Is Second Most Peaceful Country In Africa

Ghana has been ranked the second most peaceful country in Africa after Mauritius.

According to the 2021 Global Peace Index report by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), Ghana ranked 38th in the world out of the 163 countries reviewed with a score of 1.715 representing a two point move upwards from the previous Global Peace Index report.

Botswana took third place in Africa and the 41st position in the world while Iceland ranked number one most peaceful country in the world.

The five least countries in the world according to the 2021 Global Peace Index are Iraq, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan respectively.
