Former Chief of Defence Staff Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah (rtd) has expressed worry over how the country is becoming a failed state due to indiscipline.
Speaking on TV3’s The Key Points programme, he noted that politicians are to blame for the indiscipline because they have succeeded in mixing law with politics.
He was reacting to the killing of Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford and other contract killings that have remained unsolved in the country, where he blamed politicians for shielding offenders when the law is supposed to work.
“Ghana is gradually becoming a failed stated. The laws are not being allowed to work. People drive anyhow, that is indiscipline, people are selling on the streets you can’t drive. Unfortunately, we are mixing law with politics,” he said.
