• 53 pistols (side arms)
• 65 rounds of live ammunition
• 74 magazines
• A PC holster

The shipment, imported from the United States under the container number MEDU4496951, had been flagged for closer examination due to suspicious documentation.

Investigations and Arrests

Following the discovery, the Customs examination team promptly informed the GRA’s Intelligence and Investigations Unit and the Preventive Unit. This collaborative effort led to the arrest of the shipping agent and a representative of the consignee. The suspects have since been handed over to the Marine and Railway Police Station in Tema for further investigation.
