GES Orders Deboardinization Of Rioting SHS Students

The Ghana Education Service(GES) have ordered the Heads of the various Senior High Schools(SHSs) to sack students who have been engaged in violence over “strict invigilation” and “social distance” at examinations halls.

The deboardinized students are expected to be commuting from home under the supervision of the their parents.

In a statement signed by Director General, Prof Kwasi Opoku Amankwa, the GES urged school authorities to report incidents of violence by students to the police for further investigations.

Furthermore, students who vandalized properties are to be surcharged. The GES affirmed its commitment to ensure discipline in schools.
