Award-winning rapper, Sarkodie has begged for forgiveness from President Akufo-Addo following a comment he made against him on social media in the run-up to the 2020 elections.
Sarkodie sharply told the President in a social media tweet not to use his song to score political points after the President sought to use some words in the rapper’s song to achieve political satisfaction.
Speaking on Hitz FM, Sarkodie admitted that his social media post, though made in a playful mode, may have been offensive to the President.
President Akufo-Addo had tried to lay claim to the words, “the battle is the Lord’s” which was used by Sarkodie in a song with Kuami Eugene.
However, Sarkodie responded quickly on Twitter with an Akan phrase which sought to tell the President not to use Christmas as an excuse to consume fowls.
