The Techiman South Election Fiasco is still in full swing and shows no signs of abating anytime soon.
Certainly the most talked about constituency in the aftermath of the 2020 elections, and the subject of an election litigation still pending in court, Techiman South still continues to serve some hardcore sauce.
The latest news from the constituency reveals that a massive Tension is brewing in the NDC branch in that constituency as revelations begin to unfold.
Issa Mahmoud Ali, the communications director of the opposition NDC in the Techiman South Constituency had fingered elements of his own party for various nefarious activities that culminated in the Party’s defeat in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
Issa Mahmoud singled out the party’s director of elections in the 2020 elections, one Abdul Hameed Zakaria of contributing significantly to the party’s downfall in the 2020 elections.
In a report earlier filed by MyNewsGh, Issa Mahmoud accused Abdul Hameed of forging signatures on the nomination forms of the parliamentary candidate, Christopher Beyere.
Among other allegations including forging of pink sheets, Mahmoud also accused his election director of masterminding the violence that claimed two lives at the Techiman South Collation Center.
However, MyNewsGh reports again this morning that the director of elections, Abdul Hameed, in a bid to clear his name, has dragged his comrade Issa Mahmoud to the Sunyani High Court for defamation, demanding GHS490,000 in damages.
Abdul Hameed is also seeking an order of the Court to restrain Mahmoud from spreading further malicious accusations against him.
