Former Member of Parliament for Builsa North, Timothy Ataboadey Awontiri, says Ghanaians expect more than agenda 111 hospitals from President Akufo-Addo, considering the amount of monies he’s borrowed since grabbing power.
Speaking on CTV’s morning show Dwabremu on Wednesday, 18 August 2021, he said he expects the government to provide a hospital in every village across the country because they’ve borrowed over GHS212billion.
“Even if they are going to do it for every village: One Village-One Hospital just as they said they were going to do One Village-One Dam, we support it”, the former lawmaker noted, adding: “In fact, that is even what we are expecting them to do because they’ve taken over GHS212 billion, so, we expect them to do more”.
Many Ghanaians have been calling on government to account for monies borrowed since their four years in power and Mr Awontiri believes building these hospitals will be one way to justify monies borrowed.
