Finance Minister Must Be Sanctioned Over Agyapa Deal – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama believes Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta must be sanctioned by the President for his involvement in the botched Agyapa deal.

He says Mr. Ofori-Atta must either be sacked or suspended if the President is really serious about nipping corruption in the bud as he has claimed.

Reacting to Martin Amidu’s report on the Agyapa deal, Mr. Mahama stated that the snippets he has seen shows clearly that Ken Ofori-Atta had a personal interest in the deal.

He however stated that because of the nepotism government being run by President Akuffo-Addo, the finance Minister won’t face any sanctions.

Among other things, the former President commended the OSP for his swift action to investigate the deal, stating that the minority and the other CSOs who blew the whistle have been vindicated.
