Finally, Microscopic Information About Corona Virus Emerges

There had been the depiction of the covid19 virus by a barbed fearful looking creature in 3D by most people even as the sciences are still trying hard to make headway in unveiling the mystery behind this virus.

However, a more in-depth study of the virus under electronic microscope rather shows that, the virus is “a fringe of a large, round bulbous surface projections which are rounded or petal shaped, creating an image reminiscent of the solar corona or halo”

That was what a 1968 report in the journal, Nature had to describe it.

A virologist of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Dr. Mohammed Mutocheluh also described the deadly virus thus, “the spikes sit on a lipid layer called envelope protein. Underneath the envelope protein is another structure called the N protein that gives it a spherical shape.”

Albeit, the corona virus might be a spherical shape with spikes, but a closer study shows that, it doesn’t really look like the pictures we continually see on the internet.
