Father Of Inaki and Nico Williams Meets GFA Over His Sons Playing For Ghana At The World Cup

The Father of football players Inaki Williams and Nico Williams has a meeting with the Ghana football association over his sons nationality switch ahead of the 2022 World Cup according to reports.

Earlier, Inaki Williams confirmed that, he was contacted by the Ghana football association over playing for the Black Stars but he thinks it will be a disrespect to the people born in Ghana.

Inaki Williams was born in Ghana to a Ghanaian mother and a Spanish father. As a child, his parents fled to the British Isles and sought political asylum in Melilla, Spain. His father, Felix, was working as a security guard in London’s Chelsea. They were forced to flee the Liberian Civil War, but their hard work paid off. After the Civil War, the family settled in England and Inaki was born.

After he was born, Inaki’s parents migrated to Spain. He was born in Ghana and trained at an Athletic club in Lezama. He was tested by the team in the summer of 2012, when he had already won the Division de Honor. In 2013, he scored eight goals in his first Athletic game against Cordoba CF. Inaki’s first professional goal came in February 2015, while his father worked two jobs.
