Fact Check: Prof. Naana Does Not Have 8 Masters And 4 PhD’s – NDC Lied

It has been revealed that contrary to the information being peddled mainly by NDC supporters that the newly-elected running mate of the NDC, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has 4 PhD’s and 8 Masters degrees is nothing but a mere falsehood.

A thorough fact-check done by MyNewsGh has revealed that Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has one academic master’s degree and one academic PhD degree while the rest of her degrees are honorary degrees in recognition of her work as an academic and in other areas.

Contrary to claims by some opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicators and sympathizers that she has eight master’s degrees and four PhDs, it has come to light that she obtained her master’s and PhD from York University in Canada in the area of English language and Literature and the rest were given to her as awards.

It is without a doubt that Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is an experienced and accomplished academician, who also made history as the first female vice chancellor of a public University in Ghana, however it appears her academic qualifications were exaggerated to spite Dr. Bawumia and the NPP.
