Extend Your Forgiveness To Closed Down Radio Stations – Franklin Cudjoe To Akufo Addo

IMANI Africa boss, Franklin Cudjoe has urged President Akufo Addo to pardon the shutdown radio stations since he is in a ‘forgiving mode’.

This comes after the president called on Ghana Education Service to pardon some 13 students who were barred from continuing with the ongoing WASSCE after they misconducted themselves.

In reaction, Mr Cudjoe posted on twitter asking President Nana Addo to also show clemency to some radio stations which have been shutdown by the National Communications Authority (NCA).

Some radio stations within 2017 and 2019 were closed down by the NCA for operating without authorisation. Others were also cited for expired licenses. This included Radio Gold and Radio XYZ.

Franklin Cudjoe wrote on Twitter, “Alright, Mr. President since you are in a forgiving mode, please direct the NCA to reinstate all radio stations whose licenses were withdrawn and an agreement reached with them to gradually pay off their debts. Do these and I will add Osagyefo to your titles.”
