Barring any last minute changes, the National Lottery Authority, will for the first time, apply part of it’s recently launched good causes initiative to sponsor Ghana’s two most glamorous football clubs; Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko for the 2021/2022 football season.
The deal, according to credible sources within the NLA, runs into millions of Ghana Cedis as part of efforts aimed at reviving the declining passion associated with football in Ghana.
The NLA, which has enjoyed a lot of positive reviews from Ghanaians in recent times, is expected to help shoulder the burden of these two glamorous clubs as they navigate their way through the new football season.
The deal will see Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak benefitting from several juicy packages from the National Lottery Authority including support in the area of branding and visibility.
The deal is also expected to see the NLA launch one of its latest initiatives and products called ‘Atena’, a game of chance which will offer many football enthusiasts an opportunity to predict five jersey numbers of their favorite club.
This product, according to our sources, is going to be one of the game changing initiatives of the Sammi Awuku – led National lottery Authority Administration.
The NLA is expected to announce this deal in the coming weeks.
According to sources inside the NLA, the Authority is expected to extend this generosity to other clubs beyond 2022.
Many are also expected to win several range of prices when the ‘Atena’ product, which is directly linked to this sponsorship package is launched.
This latest initiative from the NLA signifies the massive transformation the Authority has undergone since the appointment of Sammi Awuku as Director-General earlier this year.
Stay tuned for more on this matter in the coming days….
