President and CEO of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has stated that the petitioner, John Dramani Mahama will be morally victorious in the minds of the laypeople in the country should lawyers of the 1st respondent succeed in making the Electoral Commission chair, Jean Mensah evade cross-examination.
According to him, the EC’s credibility will be dented if that happens insisting that the commission’s former chair, Charlotte Osei would have jumped at the opportunity to explain her side to the public.
“It will be a major dent to the EC’s image if its lawyers succeed to have their own witness evade cross-examination. Many laypeople will think that moral victory will be the Petitioner if that happens. This is getting [more] interesting than I imagined,” Franklin Cudjoe wrote on his Facebook timeline. “Somehow, I think Charlotte [Osei, the former EC Chairperson] would have jumped at the opportunity to defend her work.”
