Election 2020: Campaign On Facts — Pentecostal Council To Political Parties

The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council has advised politicians to campaign on facts ahead of the 2020 December election.

According to the council, politicians have to communicate meaningful messages which are factual and can be substantiated by the citizenry.

“The parties must go with facts that can be proven and substantiated. Because when you go there with facts, you appeal to the emotions and get the people to show empathy to draw the person to you. After you get the emotions, then you appeal to the will. So every message that goes out, you appeal to the intellect that can be substantiated through facts and that can be justified”, he advised.

The council made this statement in a ceremony to introduce the running mate of the NDC to the leadership of the Council, Chairman of GPCC, Rev Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso advised parties to avoid distortions in their campaign messages.
