Education Minister Suspected Of Covid-19, Self Isolates

Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has self isolated at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC) in Accra after suspected of contracting Covid-19.

According to reports, the minister experienced symptoms of the virus such as headache and voluntarily undertook a Covid-19 test at the UGMC.

Speaking on Onua TV’S Covid-19 Nkomo, the Public Relations Officer for the Education Ministry, Kwasi Obeng-Fosu disclosed that the minister returned from his constituency after being acclaimed as the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Manhyia South Constituency and started experiencing headache.

Therefore, being a medical doctor himself he decided to conduct the test and then self isolated afterwards.

“He went for voluntary testing and as a medical doctor; he did not want to mingle so he decided to self isolate,” the PRO explained.

He’s called the general public to remain calm as the minister is willing to make his status public after the results are out.
