“ECOWAS Chair Is Meant For Persons Soaked In Corruption” – NDC Exposes Gabby Otchere Darko For Past Tweet

The Internet, they say, never forgets. Perhaps nobody in Ghana at the moment will understand this phrase better than staunch NPP functionary, Gabby Otchere Darko, cousin of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Mr Otchere Darko, on 31st January 2015, made a post on Twitter to the effect that the ECOWAS chair was reserved for persons who are drenched in corruption. His post at the time, was meant to cast a slur on then President Mahama who had then been given that appointment.

Little did Mr. Otchere Darko know that his tweet will come back to bite him after 5 solid years. Today, his cousin is President of Ghana, and has just been appointed as Chair of ECOWAS at a summit in Niger.

NDC apparatchiks and communicators are salivating all over on social media, reminding Mr Otchere Darko that his cousin is now the ECOWAS chair.

The question still remains; Is President Akufo-Addo soaked in corruption, or was it a political talk as usual?
