Economic Crisis: It’s Difficult to Defend Gov’t Now – Edward Bawa

Member of Parliament for Bongo, Edward Bawa has said the current challenges facing the economy and Ghanaians make it difficult for government communicators to defend the administration.

In his view, the hardships that Ghanaians are saddled with are as a result of the failings of the government to tackle the core issues.

Edward Bawa said these when he was speaking on the Key Points on TV3, Saturday August 20, whiles contributing to a discussion on the tariff increment as announced by the Public Utilities and Regulatory Commission (PURC).

“This is the most difficult time to defend government. The usual government communicators are not appearing in the media because it is difficult to defend government,” he said.

Mr Bawa further indicated that the economic situation today is worst than what existed in 2006/7.
