Chief Executive Officer for Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo has admitted that since time immemorial, tax collection has been difficult, especially in “our part of the world.”
He said, some people wove the will to pay the tax but those they will pay to have been a predicament.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Tuesday, Kusi Boafo said the introduction of the Electronic Value Added Tax(E-VAT) will help in tracking the accountability of tax collection.
He said, the E-VAT has inbuilt messaging system .
“The bill will be produced before the payment and the VAT you are supposed to the government will be transparent,”
