Duffuor Leads His Supporters On In Ecstatic ‘Premature Ejaculation’ Only To Abandon Ship At The Point Of Pleasure

Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, the former Minister for Finance under the Atta Mills regime who presented himself as a supposedly viable alternative to John Dramani Mahama has abandoned ship just a day before delegates were due to decide his fate.

The former Minister who saw it necessary to slap injunctions on the scheduled elections, citing alleged voter register anomalies, has finally decided to withdraw his candidature to the massive disappointment of his supporters.

Dr. Kwabena Duffour had been competing against Kojo Bonsu and John Dramani Mahama, but he ultimately decided to withdraw from the race. His decision was reportedly based on allegations that the party’s election procedures were flawed and contained numerous irregularities.

Addressing the press after announcing his decision to withdraw from the race, Dr. Duffuor accused the NDC of acting in a manner that suggests they are not ready to conduct a free and fair election.

“Taking part in such an event will be akin to knowing and drinking from a poisoned calabash. After consulting with my support base nationwide, I have been left with no choice but to withdraw as I cannot contest in an election blatantly flawed with irregularities regardless of all my effort to draw attention to the same.” He said.

But what is going to be the resultant effect of Dr. Duffuor’s suspiciously-timed withdrawal on his supporters, many of whom took the hard decision of rallying against the Party’s most popular candidate, John Dramani Mahama?
