Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare has appealed to medical facilities to judiciously use the Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to ensure there is adequate for all medical professionals.
According to him, government is aware of the complains by the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) on shortage of PPE’s and assured of commitment to provide support. Nevertheless, health professionals must make good use of the available ones.
Speaking with Samuel Eshun on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show he said, “doctors must make sure that the supplies must be stored well. This is what we can all do to make sure of the appropriateness, right time, and the right amount of its use. The Government will ensure that the PPEs are provided.”
According to the GMA, about 150 medical doctors in the country have so far tested positive for Covid-19 in the last three months.
To this effect, the GMA called on the public to take the Covid-19 safety protocols serious as even doctors are contracting it.
