MP for Asawase, and minority chief whip in parliament, Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka has warned his compatriot, Sammy Gyamfi not to bring his arrogance around.
The honourable MP was reacting to comments made on social media by the NDC communications officer in which he accused the leadership of the NDC caucus in parliament of betraying the NDC for their selfish interest.
After Parliament passed the first batch of President Akufo-Addo’s nominees, three of whom had initially been rejected by the minority, Sammy Gyamfi took to his social media account to label the minority caucus as traitors.
His comments have set up the top leadership of the minority caucus for ridicule with party Supporters joining the chorus to rain insults on the minority caucus.
However, reacting to the sequence of events on Kumasi-based Zuria FM, Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka reminded Sammy Gyamfi that he does not love the NDC more than the leadership of the minority.
“Don’t try to extend your crass arrogance and disrespect to my territory. When did you join the party and what is your contribution to be spewing nonsense against hardworking people who have kept this party from 1992 till date”. Muntaka said.
Meanwhile, Sammy Gyamfi has clarified his statement in an interview on Pro-NDC station, Power Fm, insisting that he still stands by his words.
