Do Your Job Well And Let The Public Trust You – Asantehene Tells Police

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has charged the Ghana Police Service to step up their game to regain public confidence.

He made this call when the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh, paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia palace as part of the IGP’s one-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

Otumfuo cited the recent kiling of Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford and other robbery instances where people have been stopped on their journeys and robbed of all personal belongings.

He charged the Police to make swift investigations and bring closure to it because they have the needed training and expertise to do just that.

He bemoaned the gradual loss of confidence in the Police Service by Ghanaians and appealed to the IGP to lead his men to restore that lost confidence.
