Disappointed Ghanaians Expose Anas For ‘Removing’ So-called Powerful Lawyer, Chief Out Of Documentary After Initial Advertisement

Award-winning investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has come under heavy criticism after his latest corruption documentary titled ‘Galamsey Economy’ failed to feature a so-called “powerful lawyer” and “chief” despite an advertisement to the contrary.

Hundreds of Ghanaians who stormed the premises of the Accra International Conference center to catch a glimpse of the latest corruption expose’ returned with a barrage of questions for the masked journalist and his Tiger Eye PI Team.

As typical of him, Anas had shared snippets of his latest documentary about a week to the premiere, seeking to give Ghanaians an idea of what to expect.

In one of such snippets, Anas had claimed that “A senior solicitor and a traditional chief, said he was not in the position to control or suggest a package for the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in a meeting in a hotel room in the United Arab Emirates.

“The Barrister told the Tiger Eye investigators, posed as business tycoons, that he could not manipulate the President to do his bidding. However, he will try to help them have access to the President and his Vice and some influencers to do their business in Ghana,”

“I’ll try. I’ll do my best. You see we are talking of the President, so, I cannot tell you that I can control the President but, I can tell you that I will do my best to ensure that whatever that you want shall be done”. Anas wrote.

However, it appears this scene was conspicuously missing from the documentary shown at the Accra International Conference center, leaving Ghanaians wondering if the Journalist had deleted that portion of the documentary.

Anas and his Tiger Eye PI Team are yet to speak on the development.
