Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale’s manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog has in what looked like a jab quizzed the government whether they collapsed banks to open their own banks.
Speaking on Accra FM’s Citizen show, Bulldog slammed the government for refusing to pay locked up funds of Menzgold customers admitting he had investments there himself.
According to him, he cannot reason out the motive behind the shut down of some banking institutions in the country.
He made reference to Data Bank, with Finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta believed to be a co-founder that they’re still functioning as a banking institution and wasn’t closed down.
He asked, did the government collapse banks to open their own banks?”
On the Menzgold saga Bulldog said, “government told us they were shutting down the firm for our(customers) own good but have refused to pay us. If you were doing something for the good of the customers then why refuse to pay them their locked up monies?”
