US-based Ghanaian Journalist, Kevin Taylor has cautioned the NDC against reposing full confidence in the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
His warning comes after a second attempted arrest of Madina MP, Francis Xavier Sosu following a demonstration in his constituency last week.
Yesterday, there were reports that the Police had attempted to effect the arrest of the Madina MP while he was still in Church.
The lawmaker was eventually saved from arrest following a scuffle between the youth in his constituency and the Police.
The Police in a statement claimed that there was no attempt to arrest the lawmaker except to gather intelligence, though the circumstances point otherwise.
However, Kevin Taylor believes the good work done by IGP Dampare since he assumed the top police leadership position few months ago was only to prepare the grounds for a massive political witch-hunt.
He has therefore cautioned the NDC against placing utmost confidence in the Police Chief.
