Dampare To Be Finally Sworn In As Substantive IGP Today
President Akufo-Addo will later today, Friday, October 8, 2021, swear into office Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as the substantive Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Dr Dampare has been acting in that capacity for the past two months and will become the country’s 23rd IGP after the swearing-in.
George Akuffo Dampare would be the youngest IGP to be appointed in the Fourth Republic and the eighth youngest since Ghana gained independence.
