Dampare-Led Ghana Police Pay Full Medical Bills Of Brutalized Tamale Illegal Connection Suspects

The Ghana Police Service have fully paid the medical bills of some persons who were brutalised by its personnel in Tamale for allegedly involving in illegal power connection.

The Police had already in a statement said the officers will face a Service Inquiry while noting that processes are already in place to identify the victims and take care of their medical expenses.

A viral video online saw some police officers who accompanied VRA/NEDCO officials to arrest persons tapping electricity illegality brutally flog the alleged culprits.

The quick reaction by the police administration has earned them praise with investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni leading the line.

He wrote on Facebook, “Some of us didn’t know we’d live to see this day. Leadership is, indeed, everything.”
