Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has openly said that personal attacks from people sometimes get to him.
The 36-year-old has come under the spotlight several times despite his services to the country.He is famously remembered for dominating the headlines for the wrong reasons after missing a penalty against Uruguay in the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.
That penalty miss eventually prevented the Black Stars from becoming the first African team to reach the last four of the World Cup.
Gyan in an interview said although criticisms are part of the game, he’s human and doesn’t deserve to be subjected to insults.“I’m human.

This is the job I chose to do, and I’m for the people.
Sometimes, people attack you personally.
