Covid-19: Ghana’s Chart To Go Downwards – GHS

Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye has stated that Ghana’s Coronavirus chart is expected to take a downward turn in the coming weeks.

Addressing the press, he explained that a coherent account of Ghana’s situation would be given after backlog of samples are cleared by next week.

“We can see that from the middle towards the end of June, there was a steep rise. In the last one or so weeks, we have seen a decline. We only see the great picture when all the backlog, which we started clearing last week, is completed,” he intimated.

He stressed that “that the chart is not going to rise up and that it will see a downward trend.”

Ghana’s Covid-19 cases currently stand at 26,125, with 139 deaths and recoveries/discharge of 22,270.
