Four students at the Odorgonno Senior High School in Accra have been isolated have been allegedly isolated for recording high temperatures on their return back to school.
According to Atinka News, this was an observation by its reporters who were on duty to ascertain how various senior high schools are admitting students back since President Akufo Addo’s directive.
The president announced the resumption of schools for final year shs and second year Gold Track students in his address to the nation.
However, the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Education have said isolated cases to be recorded at various schools are not part of government policies.
In a press released, the ministry said, “these are individual schools policy. The Ministry/GES [Ghana Education Service] is in talks with all Regional Education offices to ensure smooth and secure admission of students back to school.”
