Court Throws Out Final Case Against EC On Compilation Of New Register

The Adenta High Court has dismissed a case filed against the Electoral Commission on the compilation of a new voters’ register.

They reiterated the Supreme Court decision to allow the exercise to go ahead in compliance with C.I 126 cannot be adequate on lawful basis.

This ruling comes after Lawyers for Ashaiman MP, Ernest Norgbey had tried to make a last-minute request to the High Court to halt the EC’s registration of voters set to begin tomorrow June, 30, 2020.

However, The court presided over by Justice Enyonam Adinyira dismissed the case holding that the issues it raises have been determined by the Apex court already.
