Council Of State Meets Bagbin In Attempts To Broker Peace Between Majority And Minority Caucuses

The Council of State has met the Speaker of Parliament, Right Honorable Alban Bagbin in an attempt to bring some harmony between the two caucuses in parliament.

The meeting which took place at Parliament House was specifically at the instance of the Standing Committee of the Council of State and was led by Chairman of the Council, Nana Otuo Siriboe II.

It follows two earlier meetings that the Council had held with the Majority and the Minority sides of the House in an attempt to get the two sides to return to a harmonious working relationship in parliament.

The 8th of Parliament has seen a few violent incidents in the chamber as both sides have struggled to find a common ground.
