The Electoral Commission emergency meeting yesterday was characterised with massive confusion and blame game as to who was responsible for the wrong figures delivered by the chairperson, Jean Mensah.
According to the Herald, the IT department was being accused of churning out wrong figures with a software they knew very well was faulty.
The faulty software is said to be responsible for the changes that have been recorded on the presidential results since its declaration, last Wednesday.
The outcome of the meeting is yet to be known.
The Herald further reported that erstwhile EC Chair, Afari Gyan had a first class mathematician David Adeenze Kanga, as one of his deputies who calculated all figures to prevent such embarrassments.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has refused to accept the results of the 2020 polls as announced by the EC and has vowed to use all legitimate means to address their concerns.
