National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has called on international election observers to as a matter of urgency, come down to the country as soon as possible to monitor activities of the Electoral Commission ahead of the December polls.
John Mahama has expressed displeasure with the activities of the EC, particularly, recent reports that some names have been missing from the voters register.
As things are going, we are not comfortable with the process going to the election and we call on the international community to take an interest in what is happening in Ghana,” Mahama said.
He added, “we want electoral observers to come long in advance; international election observers must be deployed long in advance to supervise the electoral process going into the election.”
