Church Of Pentecost Elects New General Secretary, Re-elects Chairman For A Fresh 5-Year Term

The Church of Pentecost, Ghana’s largest indigenous Church has elected a new General Secretary to steer the administration of the Church for the next five years.

Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, the newly-elected General Secretary takes over from Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi who has served the Church as General Secretary for the Past 10 years.

Apostle Samuel Obuobi, who is currently the Area Head of the Church in Asamankese becomes the 6th General Secretary of the Church, following in the footsteps of Apostle Joseph Egyir Pantsil, Apostle Rigwell Ato Addison, Apostle Albert Amoah, Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah, and Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi.

The Church has also re-elected Apostle Eric Nyamekye to serve for a second 5-Year term as Chairman, having served a first term since 2018 when he was elected to replace Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah.

The Church is currently holding its 46th General Council Meetings at the Pentecost Convention Center at Gomoa Fetteh.
