Christian Council Backs Government’s Decision To Imprison Mandatory Nose Mask Law Offenders

The Christian council of Ghana has backed a sanction of four to ten years imprisonment or a fine of GH₵12,000 to GH₵60,000 or both stipulated under the Executive Instrument (EI) 164 by government.

Most Reverend Paul Kwabena Boafo, Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana said that all one needed was to obey the mandatory law of wearing the face mask and it wouldn’t be hard for that individual.

He said, some of the citizens were so recalcitrant and so would just not want to wear the mask.

Therefore, since it was for the good of the citizens, whatever government would do to enforce the law, they fully support and back it.

He advised all to wear the nose mask to protect oneself and concluded by saying “if you wear it you are having life, if you don’t then you are calling for death and we don’t want you to die, we want you alive.”
