The Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Osei Opare has denied giving an amount of GHS 50,000 to loudmouth comedienne Afia Schwar as funeral donation as was alleged on social media by the latter.
Afia Schwar, after burying her father over the weekend, bragged in a video posted on social media that she received an amount of GHS 50,000 as donation from the Chief of Staff.
Afia Schwar also claimed that the Chief of Staff assisted in flying her late father’s casket from overseas.
The comedienne’s claims infuriated NPP Footsoldiers and party sympathizers who were of the opinion that the Chief of Staff was splashing money on opportunistic media personalities against party footsoldiers whose effort brought the Party to power.
Following the sustained social media backlash, the Chief of Staff denied giving Afia Schwar an amount of GHS 50,000 as she claimed.
However, in a new twist, popular instagram blogger, Thosecalledcelebs has claimed that she has picked up credible reports from the Flagstaff House which suggests that the Chief of Staff indeed gave the 50K to the comedienne.
According to the blogger, Madam Frema is only denying the donation in an attempt to save face after she was bashed by Party footsoldiers.
