American rapper, Cardi B has reacted to the 90-day jail sentence of his socialite friend, Akuapem Poloo.
Responding to a social media post which requested her opinion on the jail term, Cardi B who became fond of Akuapem Poloo in 2019 after she twerked and rolled on the floor for her at the Kempenski hotel noted that the sentence was a bit harsh and could have rather been handed a community service.
“I’ve seen a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that. Even though it’s not my style, I don’t think she was going for sexual; more going the natural idea. I think jail is a bit harsh. Maybe social media probation or community service.”
Akuapem Poloo was on Wednesday April 14 convicted on her own plea by the Circuit Court in Accra after pleading guilty to three charges, thus the publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, namely conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity and engaging in domestic violence that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.
She was sentenced to 90 days on each count but the court said, the sentence must run concurrently, meaning she will only serve a 90-day jail term which is three months.
