Cape Coast: NDC Allegedly Using Macho Men To Cause Havoc At Registration Centres

The Cape Coast South constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), William Abban Ghansah has alleged that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are using ‘machomen’ to create chaos at registration centres in the area.

According to him, these well built men in branded NDC nose masks have been there since the start of the registration.

Speaking on YES FM he said, “this issue started last week from the very first day that the registration exercise begun. The NDC folks that we know in this town which I can boldly mention their names brought some machomen who are wearing NDC branded nose mask to each of the registration centers.

He added, “when you’re a known NPP member and you come to register then they beat you and ask you to return home. This thing went on and I told the NDC chairman that we should follow the electoral rules. If you have problem with anybody pick a challenge form that was provided in the CI.

“But they have sworn not to apply the laws and rather threatened to beat our members. It’s going on unabated because they’ve beaten our NPP members from Ekon, Presby, Shipum and they’re causing mayhem and disorder.”
