Cancel Covid-19 Restrictions, Open Up Borders; Let’s Protect Ourselves And Live – Kofi Bentil To Gov’t

Lawyer and Vice President of policy think tank, Imani Africa, Kofi Bentil has called on government to eliminate all Covid-19 restrictions and allow normal life to resume.

According to him, it beholds on people to take responsibility and protect themselves from the virus while hopeful the mortality rate remains low.

He thus urged government to open the country’s borders so that people can move and trade.

In a post on social media Mr Bentil wrote, “as things stand now, it seems governments across the world have decided that COVID is serious but not enough to stop life, so we will live and hope the death rate remains low.

“There is no reason to keep churches and pubs closed. It must be a matter of personal responsibility. Go back to life but protect yourself.

Honestly I agree. At this point there’s no need to have any restrictions. Please open the borders so our people can move and trade.”

President Akufo Addo has been easing the coronavirus restrictions in phases, currently, with churches and other religious gatherings having only two hours to service.

Schools remain closed with only final year students permitted to prepare for their final exams.

However, the Covid-19 cases continue to rise each day as the death cases follows suit.
