Buy Enough Power For Christmas – ECG Warns Customers As It Announces Break

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has advised its prepaid meter customers to buy enough electricity to last them through and after the Christmas holidays.

“Prepaid meter users among our customers should strive to buy enough for their homes for the holidays and beyond.” William Boateng, the Electricity Company of Ghana’s (ECG) public relations officer, gave advice.

The decision to advise consumers to buy enough power for their homes was made after the PRO of the electricity distributor determined that it is likely that customers will be left without access to power due to the fact that the majority of its outlet vendors will be closed during the holiday season.

Mr. Willliam Boateng advised “those of our clients who utilize prepaid meters to try and buy enough for their houses this Christmas and later” on Kumasi-based Abusua FM.

“Don’t make a low-cost purchase and promise to return to make a second purchase around Christmas. We will all be taking Christmas breaks, so that will be uncomfortable. There won’t be many people who can be bought. He added more warnings. You should buy enough because you are aware of your consumption levels; otherwise, these retailers can close their doors to you throughout the holiday shopping season. On the program “Abusua,” Mr. William Boateng warned Kojo Marfo that waiting in large lines at our various offices would be necessary.

However, Mr. Boateng gave the public the assurance that salespeople at the ECG offices would continue to work over the holidays so that any clients who might visit them would be able to make purchases.
